In a world of titans, where martial artists reign supreme, Roy is wholly unremarkable. Without the power to channel the essence of the world, he is weak and defenseless.

Adopted into the Shah clan after his parents' deaths, he is forced to do menial labor day after day, all while enduring the ridicule and physical abuse of his supposed family.

Weakness is punishable by death in Buryoku and in the Shah clan, there is no one weaker than Roy. But even the weak can rise up, when pushed to the brink....

Author: Aaron Oster. Book: Power. Interesting concept of a powerless young man given the opportunity to make something of himself. Good setup. Intriguing characters and world introduced. Good action also. DRmz 9-12-24

it's a good book. the story is pretty engaging and the power progression system seems pretty internally consistent which I love. 10/10

when I first read the plot summary for this book, I thought that it was going to be like some of Erin's early work. but I was pleasantly surprised, I honestly didn't think that he would go for the cultivation route. but even though he did, the book steal stuff to some of errands earlier works, and I like that a lot. And for person who is blind, I love all of description in a motion that both narrators from all of Aaron's books put into their performances. I can't wait to read the next book in the series, I'm looking forward to see where this story goes.

just as awesome as usual.

has 48 minutes of previews of other books to pad it's time. otherwise ok. didn't like how stupidly mean the nice old man was when it was narrativly useful.
