I absolutely loved this book! The storylines and writing are fantastic, just so well done. Every single bit intertwines and loops around and it’s just so interesting! The narration is flawless (you’ll wonder about that in the beginning, but trust me on this one!!) and the Irish brogue (“like velvet”) is phenomenal! I can’t say enough about this book and this series! I going on to another one (I’m reading them out of order quite by accident)!

3.5 ⭐️ (Dual Narration Audiobook) Eoghan O’Rourke is the lawyer for his mafia family and is in Las Vegas to clear up charges for one of his brothers. He meets the prosecuting attorney Jillian and is immediately taken with her, and decides she’s his.

A lot of this book was about Eoghan’s obsession with Jillian and the lengths he went to in order to keep watch over her. There was a background story regarding the Cosa Nostra in Vegas and Jillian’s involvement with prosecuting them, but it’s not a huge focus of the book. The book was fine overall, but nothing amazing. I’ve read the series so far up to this point and plan on finishing the rest of them.

Stella Hunger and Aaron Shedlock did a good job with the narration, and I only wish it had been done in duet.

I had to stop at Chapter 8. Did *no one* tell the female narrator that it’s not E-gan, it’s OWEN. I just could not. I’ve listened to all of the Astoria Royals and this is the first one I couldn’t make it through.

Eoghan is the mafia lawyer trying to get his brother out of trouble on Las Vegas & Jillian is the prosecutor in charge of getting it done.

I loved the mafia story line and the enemies to lovers feel of this. The spice is a little unrealistic on his member & her virginity being taken but it does a great job setting up the series.

The narration is top notch!!
