The character development drew me in and the excitement kept me there. Such a good book! I was hoping it was the start of a Grace/McBride series and while researching I found that The Devoted Game is actually a re-release of Webb’s 2007 novel, Nameless. While I’m disappointed that I won’t be able to read more about Vivian and Ryan, it had opened me up to another go-to author. The narration was perfection and added so much to the experience.

An original twist on typical FBI stories! A disgraced former agent is called in to help on a case at the perpetrator’s demand. Things start moving fast from there!!

Debra Webb never disappoints

This story was a bit darker than I am used to from this author. Well developed characters with difficult backgrounds. Suspenseful. I had guessed a few key points but I read a lot of suspense and mysteries. Excellent narration.

Pulled me in from the start!! The twist, the mystery, and the game played in the story were wonderful. Some parts are a bit more spicy and it worked great in this book. The narrators were great as well.
