She’s a friendly voice on the phone. But can you trust her?

The people who call End of the Line need hope. They need reassurance that life is worth living. But some are unlucky enough to get through to Laura. Laura doesn’t want them to hope. She wants them to die.

Laura hasn’t had it easy: she’s survived sickness and a difficult marriage only to find herself heading for forty, unsettled and angry. She doesn’t love talking to people worse off than she is. She craves it.

But now someone’s on to her—Ryan, whose world falls apart when his pregnant wife ends her life, hand in hand with a stranger. Who was this man, and why did they choose to die together?

The sinister truth is within Ryan’s grasp, but he has no idea of the desperate lengths Laura will go to…

Because the best thing about being a Good Samaritan is that you can get away with murder.

Revised edition: This edition of The Good Samaritan includes editorial revisions.

I have enjoyed this author a lot. He really knows how to pull you in and get you involved in the people/story. However, this book was tedious. Not sure if it was the voice of the Laura or just the fact that she was able to get away with things that never caught up with her and we're just too over the top at times. I like an evil main character, but this one seemed vapid. The one thing she really enjoyed in life was getting to hear/feel a person's last breath before dying. With that ambition in life, what else do you even want to know about her. She inspired no empathy or understanding. She was just pure evil and by the end of the book, I felt that if her evil were sugar, I had just tried to swallow 5 tablespoons in a row with no liquid chaser. Definitely not the best I've read of this author.

So unbelievably evil

I am left speechless over this book! If you like twists and turns of the psychological kind, this is a must read!

Super let down by the ending of this one. I kept hoping for the karma moment but it never came.

It’s a good book but…..

I honestly didn’t think this would be as good as it was. I was kind of iffy, because I’m a big Freida McFadden fan.. but I’m so glad I kept on reading. This book was very very good. Let me just say, Laura is a crazy one. Haha

This book is such a good read. I’d love to see a second book. This book had me on the edge of my seat the entire time. Be warned though it’s infuriating to read
