In response to the one-star review, claiming the author's disrespect towards the Native Americans, and lack of knowing the tribes, much of it is taken from the accounts written by the woman who had this experience. Therefore, everything mentioned in this book is authentic as far as the custom of the tribes mentioned in the book, and the events that happened, which was followed closely, from this firsthand witness account.
