The premise, while far from novel, does have potential, but the execution is a bit lackluster. A lot reviews describe this a hard sci-fi because the author sprinkles in some calculations and physics explanations, I wouldn't consider it so. From a hard sci-fi perspective, there are quite a few gaps and concepts that just don't add up. The geopolitically aspects of the story are frustratingly implausible and amateurish. That being said, it's entertaining enough to keep on in the background while working.

Decent concept, but amateurish execution

this a something every scifiction nut thinks about. Are we alone? would we respond like this? seems realistic in the beginning. I can't speak about it further in because Ihave no idea. But I think its worth your time and credits to read it!!!!

very interesting, couldn't put it down!

This story captured me until I was done. It felt like it could be a reality. Lots of strong characters, that I felt emotionally connected to. There's humor and tragedy. and it wraps up with a strong positive message.

Excellent, thought-provoking hard science fiction.

The author paves an action driven story arc moving at literal rocket speeds and straps readers in moving through some of the deeper unresolved philosophical questions of this and the coming generations. What is humanity’s pattern of action? Viewed as a system, what function does humanity hold within the planet, solar system, the galaxy? What is the primary motivation for the actions of humanity ? In the end readers are left asking themselves questions about how we frame our view of life. Who would benefit from sustainable infrastructure, health care, housing, and global cooperation? Who opposes such a system that would benefit the vast majority of humanity? Why?

A Character and climax driven exploration of ourselves

I enjoyed this one very much. Great characters. Realistic aliens. They were not the typical Hollywood scary violent ones. I often wanted to punch the aliens and give them a piece of my mind. Great story and narro.

Wry good
