These men killed mine, and for that, they have to die

Bristlebrook is up in smoke, my brutes are dead, and Sam’s camp is a powder keg begging for a flame.

Injured and furious over their losses, the surviving hunters are preoccupied with their own problems. Their factions and allegiances. Their internal wars and pissing contests. The new world they want to forge. They don’t look twice at their meek little captive.

They shattered my heart five ways when they killed my brutes, so I don’t care anymore. If I’m to stop the villains, I need to become one.

I need to be smart. I need to be ruthless.

Even if it means razing myself to the ground to do it . . .

We’re bringing her home, or we’re not coming home

They took our librarian from right under our noses—and with Lucky injured, Bristlebrook in flames, and our personal problems finally spilling over, we’re fracturing.

But we need to be better.

Bringing Eden home is the most important mission of our lives.

Followed closely by the second most important . . . building her a home worth returning to.

***
The Brutes of Bristlebrook is a dark(ish) post-apocalyptic, steamy romance series, and Eden will end up with three or more love interests after I’ve appropriately obliterated my listeners’ nerves. Expect complex characters, 1st person present tense, multiple POVs, MM in the harem, angst, lots of laughs, and to encounter material that some listeners may find sensitive.

This book is a big boy at over 180k words and deals with a lot of heavy content. I promise it gets brighter as it goes on (you know... mostly). Please see my website for TWs - your mental health matters.

I want to thank Rebecca for sending me an ARC even though I believe she knew up front that I am not great at writing reviews. Since it ended up being released early, I read along with the audio. I love the stories going on here, but I PRAY it is a true trilogy, because if there is another hair pulling, tantrum throwing, kindle tossing cliffhanger, I might lose my mind! lol
But seriously, the range of emotions in the book was nearly exhausting. I got so invested, that when I finished, I thought I better wait a couple days to write my review. Because I was close to chucking Becky! JUST KIDDING!!! But I love a book that will give me all the emotions, and I laughed, I cried, at one point I was extremely heartbroken, frustrated, puzzled, intrigued, jealousy, a few um...warm moments, and in the end, really angry.

The characters are just written so well, then you add a top notch cast of narrators that you feel the pain, sorrow, happiness, etc. These books would be great eyeball read, but I couldn't have been happier when I heard all formats were released early. Having the narrators to follow along with made this an even better experience for me.

I hope Book three, and our promised HEA(?!?!?) comes to us sooner rather than later! Can't Wait!

What a performance!

Entangled by Rebecca Quinn is a post-apocalyptic why choose romance that I listened to on audio narrated by Avery Caris, Rose Dioro, Joe Arden, Sebastian York, Teddy Hamilton, JF Harding, Jason Clarke, Zachary Webber, Connor Crais, and Gregory Salinas. This is the second book in the Brutes of Bristlebrook series.

This is the second book of Rebecca’s that I have read, and it definitely won’t be my last. I was pulled in from the first chapter and couldn’t wait to see what was going to happen next. I am really enjoying the chemistry between Eden, Dominic, Jasper, Lucien, Beaumont, and Jaykob. I can’t wait to see how their relationship will grow over the course of the series. I liked getting all of their points of views throughout the book. It really brought the story to life.

The book ended on a great cliffhanger that left me begging for more. I can’t wait for the final book in the series to be announced.

I originally read the book and was so excited when I saw it was coming to audio. The full cast did an amazing job on the narration. They really brought the story to life. I look forward to listening to more of their work in the future.

I would highly recommend this series if you’re looking for a post-apocalyptic romance, why choose romance, found family romance, military men romance, or enemies to lover’s romance.

This amped up the pleasure, fun, funny , suspense , action( in more ways than one) and emotion. In this one Eden and the Brutes lay their wounds more open for us and the ride is intense. Listening to each Brute become more than what they thought not only for her but for each other. Although one is not as ready to be open because of the overcrowding shall we say. You are left in a cliffhanger that will destroy you and can’t wait for the next one to see how it’s all mended and everything set to right. Can all be forgiven or will someone not be able to because trust is hard to give once betrayed? Can’t wait to hear again!

More than Expected

So many twists and turns in this story! So many new characters and character growth. It’s steamy and the storyline just keeps getting better. Eden is a survivor and will keep pushing for what she thinks is the right thing. Her men, while sometimes stubborn will always want her safe no matter the cost.
I love this story because we see them all grow through the difficult times. I can’t wait to devour the next book.

Duet Narration with Full Cast Joe Arden with so many other great voices.

This is a journey and has a ton more spice than the first book and the BDSM|||THEME comes out a lot more as Eden is put through her paces.

This deals a lot with Eden’s PTSD and can get hard to listen to at times but hang in there, she needs to go through it and it’s fully worth watching her grow. She is such an amazing character and her narrator does her such justice.

Massive cliffhanger but I’m excited to see where it goes, hoping Rebecca won’t make us wait too long!
