I so happen to have found this book through social media and being a fan of Atlas and his other voice acting work.

Atlas and Lauren brought both Damien and Lyla to life with their voices. In this quick novella it was easy to picture the characters and their dynamic because how well the voice actors voices worked for me.

But also a big thanks to Addie for the words! This was the perfect length novella to listen to while attempting to get chores done around the house. However within the prologue my jaw was agape and I was frozen on the spot. It was then I knew that this was going to be a good book.

Looking forwards to reading and listening to the rest of the books in this series.

Hellaaaa smutty and spicy, just as I expected from all those delicious teasers on socials. I like how this was very easy to read but at the same time, the writing was so vivid that it took me no time to all to immerse myself fully into the story.

And speaking of, immersive reading was the way to go for me with this one. Lauren Beck did a wonderful job with Lyla and brought just the right amount of sass. I’m new to her work, but I’m already excited to hear more from her!

And then you have Atlas. I already knew him from Quinn and have been following his VA/narrator journey for a while now, and damn. He didn’t sound like he was narrating an audiobook for the very first time in his career at all. To me, it was the perfect balance of narration and voice acting, and his performance was a total 10/10! The future is bright for him, for sure, and I’m so incredibly happy to finally see his name in this space.

Also, I usually listen to my audiobooks at 1.5 or 2.0x speed, but I didn’t feel that need here. Atlas and Lauren made me want to slow down and savor each word, which also made the whole reading experience much more enjoyable.

Congratulations again to Team Chokehold! This is every smut-obsessed reader’s dream come true.

Well call me 'Oliver Twist' because I want some more. I thoroughly enjoyed Atlas's performance. I'm familiar with his work on Quinn and I was pleased to hear his feral growls and his hot boy laugh in this. I'm not familiar with Lauren's work but will be checking her out now. The story is well-written. As a member of the BDSM and kink community, I appreciated the accuracy. As a curvy, plus-size body, I loved the representation. I just wish the FMC had as much confidence in her body as her attitude and personality and this would have been 5 stars all across the board.
