I have a love /hate opinion of Sophia. She had some big shoes to fill but also some unrealistic ideas. I love how Cora can make me fall in love with each of her unlikely pairings. Sophia and Danilo are another great example of that. Excellent narrators did a fantastic job bringing their story to life.

This was a SLOWWWW BURRN!!!! The book is good, a few times I lost focus cause the same thing kinda kept happening over and over and the main chick needed a spine but then the tide turned.

This was hard to read but so damn good! I was so in my feels the entire time, feeling Sofia’s insecurities to my core. She crushed on Danilo and was too young to fully understand why he didn’t reciprocate early on in their engagement. However, when she was older and could have understood, Danilo was too blinded by his rage to see how his choices were impacting Sofia. My heart broke for both of them when it all came to a head on that dreadful night but Danilo quickly came to his senses and did everything right to correct it. If they were closer in age it probably never would’ve happened but that wasn’t the cards they were dealt. I’m definitely going to read more books by this author.
